Podcast recording and editing (U16: P5, P6, M2)

This is me using my phone, to record all the narration parts of the podcast. I chose to use my phone as its lightweight and portable, and would allow me to record the necessary audio, at each location I was going. As well as this, it also recorded audio to a high level, meaning that I could gain the best results, with no unnecessary hold ups, due to no access to a microphone.




I added both the Narration and Delay effects on to my audios. This gives the podcast a layered listening experience, as well as adapting the audio, in order to give me the specific effect on the audience I want too. As well as this, it after experimenting with the different audio types, these were the clearest and best quality, for the narration parts.


I adjusted the automation of the atmospheric audio, to best fit into my podcast. This meant that I could create complex and layered sounds, as well as giving different aspects to my podcast. It made for a more realistic listening experience, helping the audience to get more engaged in the podcast, meaning my message will be taken in and followed more. 
For one of the interviews, the interviewee requested that their voice be distorted, for protection. I tried and tested different audio effects, and the Robot one was the best. This was because it distorted the voice enough to hide the true identity of the interviewee, and kept the audio clear enough, for the audience to be able to understand what was being said. 





I added specific music tracks into my podcast, which provides the audience some first hand evidence and accounts of the issues and points, that I raise during the podcast. This will allow people who may not be so connected, or aware, of the role some feel drill has in the issues raised, make their judgments, in regards to the connections and the part drill plays in the issues I am speaking on.

Elements of Sound (U16: P1, P2)

Different platforms use different techniques techniques to transport the audience into their on screen entertainment; wether thats video games, films, TV shows, or radio stations. The different techniques that are common are: foley sound, wild tracks, atmospheric sound, as well as using sound compression, to either make sounds louder or amplify quite sounds. In Infinity Ward's Call of Duty Modern Warfare, the producers used many different audio techniques to create the necessary sounds, resulting in a game that brings the audience into the game, with its realistic sounds. For the footsteps, Infinity Ward used actual footsteps, and applied the necessary sound compression, either upward and downward, depending on the distance of the steps, in the game from your character. P1: Explain the media market for different news providers: P2: Explain the media platforms used for news distribution: News is distributed across two platforms: Traditional and Digital. In these, there are a vast number of channels that the stories can be released on, such as social media, websites, newspapers, radio and TV. Each appeals to a different audience, and each  offers a different purpose to the news organisation. TV and Radio distributed the story differently to each other, however, containing many similarities. TV channels have dedicated channels, such as Good Morning Britain (ITV) and This Morning (BBC). TV channels relay the information to the audience, with these facts normally supported a professional, in the specific field, discussing the story, with a debate.
